It is with great pleasure that I welcome home all the old 16AAers home along with several new people from the 24SAS. I feel you're all going to be excellent additions to the unit.
As part of the transfer from the 24SAS we have awarded the rank of Private to full members of the 24SAS as they have passed their training over there - however there will be a big platoon refresher session today for everyone (
Note : you will need Ace and the 16AA mod for it - details in the forums for both) so that we can make sure we're all using the same procedures.
With the rapid influx of people we've had to have another small reorg as detailed below - you can see the current set up on the ORBAT/Roster linked via the menu on the left.
The Combat Service Support section has been established, only for flyers at the moment. PTEs Miller and Peake have been transferred over to the flight roles - We intend to have two more pilots assigned to this area in the short term. We're also aiming to have some flight courses/qualifications drawn up in the near future and I'll be working with PTEs Miller and Peake run through what is required.
Three section has opened, led by LCPL.Powell - PTE.Wyatt, PTE.Hewitt, PTE.Paice, PTE.Endersby and PTE.Miller.J have also been assigned to it. This section is going to be our Fire Support/Pathfinder/Mortar section - as it's rare we need all three at once. If anyone else is interested in joining the section, please PM myself and LCPL Powell.
Additionally, we now have a private server running the ACE2 and 16AA mods. We will keep this relatively up to date with regards to the ACE2 features. We have also got a vanilla server running (the Tactical Server) which has been upgraded to 32 players... of course, some of these things have cost a little, so you can donate via the donation link on the front page if you'd like to put a little in.
Please do keep checking the forums as there are more notices coming out on there on a daily basis!
I can't wait to meet you all and see you on the Servers for some games.
